What Does It Do?

The Heartshadow catalyst increases the movement speed while invisible while using the sword and also, although not stated, increases the amount of ammo you will have in reserve while using the exotic sword.
Exotic catalysts enhance the capabilities of all of your exotic weapons, it is highly encouraged that when one becomes available you obtain and complete the catalyst for that weapon. Maxing out its capabilities and exceeding what it once could do.

Where Does It Come From?

The exotic sword Heartshadow comes from the Duality Dungeon’s final boss, the nightmare of Caital. Similar to how the raid exotics work you get 3 chances per week, once per character to get the weapon dropped from the dungeon boss. However, some users claim farming the boss over and over has a small chance to yield the exotic drop although, this has yet to be proven. There are triumphs found within the game which can also increase the chances of the Heartshadow dropping upon completion. The catalyst itself can be found within the Duality Dungeon via completing a puzzle throughout, there are 3 nightmares found within the dungeon and when killed will drop a standard. Pick up this standard and take it to the nearby location where it needs to be deposited. Upon depositing the 3rd standard a chest will spawn and when opened will reward you with the Heartshadow exotic catalyst. Please ensure the Heartshadow exotic is within your inventory when completing the puzzle and also prior to opening the final chest otherwise it will not be rewarded and the nightmares may also not spawn.
