Day One Crota’s End Boosting

What You Will Get

There are many weapons and also the age of Triumph armor available to be obtained from the Crota’s end raid. Here are the names of the available weapons:

Word of Crota (Handcannon)
Swordbreaker (shotgun)
Abyss Defiant (auto rifle)
Fang of Ir Yut (scout rifle)
Oversoul Edict (pulse rifle)
Song of Ir Yut (machine gun)

If you were an avid D1 player you will notice that they are missing 2 weapons of that list. One being the black spindle and the other being the hunger of crota (AKA the legendary Gjallarhorn) it makes sense why they decided to leave out the Black Spindle as it is already in the game as an exotic heavy known as Whisper of the Worm and would create a whole bunch of balancing issues if they re-released it with the white-nail perk as a legendary sniper. However, I’m unsure why they decided to leave out the hunger of crota as it was a fan favourite rocket launcher due to it originally being able to roll with tracking and cluster bombs. It wouldn’t return to its former glory with that roll inside of D2 but it would have been a fun flashback.

What Does It Do?

The raid on Crota’s end will bring along with it a brand-new raid seal and a bunch of high-end weapons and armor. It will also bring back a fan-favourite raid and loot to those who missed it or missed out on it from D1. Launching on the 1st September bringing a 48 hour contest challenge and a brand new day one emblem Purchase today and be amongst the first to obtain the brand new weapons and armour and gain a completion on the new Crota’s end raid!

Where Does It Come From?

Crota’s end is a returning raid from D1. This was the 2nd raid Bungie had ever introduced into the game following the launch of the Vault of Glass raid. This came alongside their first expansion and the raid could be found on the moon and with the Season of the Witch launching Bungie decided to stick with the hive theme and bring back Crota’s end instead of the only remaining D1 raid Wrath of the Machine. The raid is found within the Hellmount on the moon. When you begin the raid you will have to stand on the plate found within the patrol zone on the moon. Standing on this plate will spawn a bridge that allows you to enter the raid. It is unknown if they will add and change much to the encounters or leave them as they originally were. Some original fans hope they leave the raid able to be soloed as you could when it was first released back in D1 however some fans wish that they make it a more lengthy raid and up the ante on the difficulty.
