What You Will Get

At the time of release in Season 19 the rewards on offer for competitive division are the following:
Your current division gives you a multiplier on all Crucible ranks (reputation) earned in Destiny, letting you earn more Crucible engrams, resets, and extra perks on weapons much faster.
Copper and Bronze – 1.0x
Silver – 1.1x
Gold – 1.2x
Platinum – 1.3x
Adept – 1.4x
Ascendant – 1.5x

You will also receive triumph completions and progress through playing in the Competitive Division – Which will help you in your effort to obtain the Glorious title which in Season 19 will be replacing the Unbroken Seal.

Bungie has promised to add rewards to Competitive Division in Future Rewards Updates, they said the following in the TWAB.
“We aren’t done here. In the Seasons post-Lightfall, we are expecting to get further cosmetic rewards for Competitive Division.
We are still working out the details of what (you can earn), when (you can start earning them), and how (you earn them). Expect more discussion after Lightfall launches!” So you can expect to earn some ornaments for weapons and armor in the future of Competitive Divisions and perhaps even some cool emblems, shaders, armor sets and seals.

What Does It Do?

With the release of Season 19, Bungie is completely revamping its Competitive Gamemode and renaming it to Competitive Divisions. This will be a ladder based competitive mode which will also include SBMM (skill based match making)

They’re replacing the old Fabled, Mythic and Legend names we have become familiar with across the years with the following:
Copper – Lowest Rank
Bronze
Silver
Gold
Platinum
Adept
Ascendant – Final Rank

Where Does It Come From?

Your rank will be determined from your opening 7 placement games which you will have to complete at the start of each season. After the 7 games, win or loss you will be given a starting rank. You will then have to climb or fall from the assigned rank!

Start and Completion Time

After placing your order, it will start roughly within the initial 12 hours after the purchase;
The completion time will vary from order to order as you may have a larger quantity or smaller. Leading to faster or longer completion times.

No minimum required light level at the time of writing (End of Season 18)
