With Destiny 2s most recent expansion Shadowkeep, the weekly Nightfall strike got a much-needed upgrade in the form of Nightfall: The Ordeal. Instead of just a problematic strike, The Ordeal adds new modifiers and powerful Champion enemies to make things that much more challenging than before. Now upon selecting the nightfall you can actually choose to matchmake with random players or as you have come to expect with previous nightfalls you can make a premade team and take on the strike that way. However, you cannot matchmake into the highest difficulty of the Nightfall: The Ordeal likely due to not being able to communicate with your random teammates prior to launching into the strike making the possibility of players lacking overload, barrier and unstoppable mods very high making the strikes a lot harder than design intended. Scoring the points in The Ordeal isn’t the hard part all you have to do is ensure you kill most and on some strikes all of the combatants you find as you go through (providing you are on a high enough difficulty you can do it quite easily) it’s finishing the Nightfall before you lose them all. Once you hit the 20-minute mark, your points start to decrease over time so essentially the longer you go without finishing, the more points you lose. I would suggest launching on legend difficulty or master to ensure you get the 100k points you are looking to achieve as lower difficulties can prove difficult trying to reach the 100k threshold and the number of adds and the multiplier may not be enough to reach it. We recommend before purchasing that you are at minimum the recommended light level of the legend difficulty nightfall for the season.
