Outriders is a first-person looter shooter with an enormous loot pool and enemies to fight. The game begins with players arriving from a post-apocalyptic Earth to a new Earth-like planet called Enoch. You as the player arrive there and begin your journey. During your boost for Outriders Campaign boost, you will receive the following; any materials that drop such as, Iron, Leather, Titanium, and legendary weapons. You will also see your character level progress from 1 to around the 20+ mark as the campaign itself will award an awesome amount of experience! After the prologue, the story begins with you, the outrider in cryostasis 31 years later where you begin to find out that Enoch isn’t the way you left it. It is now completely war-torn and you find the player character is actually what the game refers to as an “Altered” and dependant on the class you choose to play gives you certain special abilities such as the following, Pyromancer is a fire specialist, Trickster has the ability to manipulate space and time, Devastator which can unleash seismic attacks and Technomancer which is a gadget specialist. These characters have special skills that have a short cool-down time and can be combined with other skills and perks.

When you finish the story in Outriders you may notice that this isn’t the end… You now unlock something called “Expeditions” and with these expeditions come something new called Challenge Tiers, these challenge tiers are very similar to world tiers but actually allow you to progress further than you ever had in the current main story section of the game. World tiers allow you to get your weapons and armour up to level 45 meaning you can get up to 15 levels above the main game level cap but challenge tiers actually allow you to reach the current max of level 50 gear. This may be increased in future expansions but as of current, this is the highest you may possibly reach during the entire game of Outriders! You may be asking how you can increase your challenge tier, well really it’s quite simple but incredibly difficult to do. Not only does the challenge tier improve the level of gear you receive but it also increases the chances you have to receive higher tier rewards such as legendary weapons and higher bulks of materials upon completion of higher challenge tiers. In the highest challenge tier, you have a 25% chance to receive a legendary per completion of each expedition and 75% at an epic drop each time. Players have the option of choosing different maps to go on expeditions with their character and Drop Pod resources can be collected from Expedition missions as a reward for completing each level increasing amounts of drop pod resources rewarded at the end of each completion. The dev team of Outriders chose this kind of difficulty setting as it allows the player to set their own pace and also progress further if they want a bigger challenge making a more diverse challenge!

Purchasing an expeditions boost will likely reward you with an abundance of new weapons and armour and the higher the challenge tier the more likely you are to receive the elusive legendary weapons which include the tier 3 mods which are the best mods currently in the game. Currently, there is 15 challenge tiers available for you to master and progress through which increase in difficulty and rewards the further you progress up in them. Disclaimer, challenge tiers are entirely different from world tiers. We also guarantee you will receive a gold rated rating at the end of each clear. The faster you clear a mission, the richer the rewards. Individual enemies do not drop loot on the ground though, but instead, it is all received at the end of the expedition if you complete it. Expeditions are more than just killing enemies fast though that is the main goal, sometimes there is added objectives such as capturing objectives!

As they are currently the highest rarity of items currently in the Outriders game due to their immense power and Tier 3 mods which are currently making or breaking a lot of players build due to the nature of their immense power that they obtain. Outriders gear is dropped from enemies, found in chests, quest rewards, or purchased from vendors or awarded at the expeditions, and the higher the challenge tier expedition the higher the chance to receive one of these as a reward as they are the most difficult content that the game itself has to offer. Tier 15 is currently the most reliable place to get a legendary weapon or armour piece dropped as it offers a 25% chance to drop on a gold tier rated completion leaving 75% of the loot to drop being epic in rarity. Each piece of gear in Outriders has its own level, and one of five rarities: common, unusual, rare, epic, and legendary. The higher the rarity the bigger bonus the guns have on them providing extra benefits to the player such as extra crit damage, extra firepower, armour piercing, or increased health. Legendary gear comes both in the form of weapons and class specific armour. You can also equip more than one Legendary weapon or armour at a time. If you wear multiple pieces of Legendary armour in a set, you will receive a super-charged passive ability called a “set bonus” which you can only acquire through gear matching. Like other gear, you can boost weak Legendaries which have dropped earlier in the game to your current level.
